Why do most suppliers hide the price behind a quote form?
Partly for real reasons.
Custom printing has genuine variables: bag, quantity, number of print colours, print sides, delivery country. A supplier who quotes everything by hand can price each job precisely and can catch problems in your artwork before they become expensive.
Mostly, though, for commercial ones. A quote form captures a lead, puts a salesperson between you and the price, and makes comparison shopping slow enough that many buyers stop after two suppliers. It also lets pricing flex by customer, which is not always in the customer's favour.
None of that helps someone who needs 50 bags and already knows what they want.
What does waiting for a quote actually cost?
Consider a straightforward 50-piece order handled the traditional way.
You describe what you want. You wait a day or two. A PDF arrives. The number is higher than you hoped, or the bag is not quite the one you meant, so you start again with a second supplier. Two weeks can disappear into an order that was never complicated.
For a 50-piece run, that process costs more in your time than the bags cost in money. It is also the reason so many small branded bag projects die: because nobody had a spare fortnight for the admin.
38 x 42 cm. Hides marks better than natural cotton and takes a light-ink print well.
What does ordering custom tote bags online look like instead?
| Step | Quote-based supplier | Ordering online here |
|---|---|---|
| Seeing a price | After a form and a wait | On the product page, per quantity |
| Comparing quantities | Ask for a revised quote | All tiers shown side by side |
| Uploading artwork | Often required before pricing | After the order, not before |
| Artwork check | Varies | Every file, before production |
| Proof | Varies, sometimes charged | Free digital proof, approval required |
| Time to order | Days | One sitting |
The artwork check does not disappear; it just moves. Every file is reviewed before production, and you approve a digital proof in writing before anything is printed.
What is removed is the wait between wanting a price and seeing one.
Does printing on navy cotton work differently?
Yes, and it is worth knowing before you choose a colour.
On natural undyed cotton, almost any ink reads well. On navy, black or another dark cotton, the print has to carry its own contrast, so light inks do the work and dark inks disappear.
Print colour choice therefore matters more on dark fabric than on light, and that is exactly what the proof stage is for. We check it before production rather than after.
The trade is worth it for bags that get handled a lot. Navy hides marks in a way natural cotton simply does not, which is why it is a common choice for bags meant to stay in use rather than sit in a drawer.
When should you still contact a person?
Published pricing does not mean nobody is there. Get in touch before ordering if:
- Your deadline is tight, and you need a yes or no on whether it is achievable.
- Your artwork is photographic, has gradients, or only exists as a low-resolution image.
- You are ordering several designs at once and want them handled together.
- The delivery address is outside the EU, where a shipping fee is quoted based on address and parcel weight.
- You want blind shipping, which is free but needs to be flagged with the order.
For everything else, the price is on the page and the order takes a few minutes.
Frequently asked questions
Can I order custom printed tote bags without requesting a quote?
Yes. Per-unit prices for every quantity tier and print-colour option are published on each product page. You choose, you order, and your artwork is checked afterwards. There is no quote step and no sales call.
Do I have to upload my logo before I can see a price?
No. Pricing is visible before you upload anything. Artwork is submitted with the order and reviewed before production, and you approve a digital proof before anything is printed.
Is there a minimum order?
25 pieces per design for most bags. Designs cannot be mixed to reach the minimum, because each artwork needs its own print screen.
Is shipping included in the price shown?
Standard shipping within the EU is included in the product price unless stated otherwise. Express shipping for rush orders may be charged separately, and deliveries outside the EU carry a fee based on the address, order size and parcel weight.
What if the print colour will not work on the bag colour I chose?
We raise it at artwork check and show you the result on the digital proof before production. Nothing is printed until you approve it in writing, so a colour that will not read on navy is caught before it costs anything.
