How to pick the right blue bag
Blue is the broadest colour family we carry, and the range covers two quite different jobs: navy that behaves like a neutral, and bright blues that behave like a statement.
Which shade of blue should I choose?
French navy is the workhorse. It reads as professional rather than promotional, sits correctly next to almost any brand palette, and hides handling marks better than anything except black. If you are buying bags for a company, a university, a conference or a client-facing giveaway and you are not sure, this is the safe answer.
Royal, bright royal and sapphire are saturated and energetic — sports clubs, student unions, campaigns, anything that needs to look active.
Airforce, petrol, dusty and cornflower are the mid-tones. They are the ones that look designed rather than off-the-shelf, and they work well for hospitality, studios and lifestyle brands.
Sky, surf, pastel and turquoise are light and summery — coastal tourism, spas, swim and beach retail, summer events.
How does a printed logo look on a blue bag?
It depends entirely on how dark the blue is. On navy, midnight and petrol, pale ink is printed over a white underbase so it stays opaque; that is included in the print price shown on the product page.
On sky, pastel and cornflower the opposite applies: dark ink reads cleanly and white will disappear. White-on-navy and navy-on-sky are the two combinations that consistently look sharpest.
Which bag weights come in blue?
More than any other colour: 100 g/m² and 140 g/m² cotton, a 170 g/m² GOTS organic shopper with a gusset, 200 and 220 g/m² premium cotton, 340 g/m² organic cotton, 475 g/m² heavy canvas with a zip, plus mini and small totes, gusseted bags, drawstring gymsacs and jute beach bags.
Can you match a blue bag to my exact brand colour?
Not in the fabric. Bags are dyed in fixed stock shades, so you are choosing the closest available blue rather than commissioning a dye lot — no supplier can honestly promise otherwise at 25 to 500 pieces.
Your print is a different matter: the logo is produced to the colour you specify. If your brand blue is very particular, the usual answer is to print it precisely onto a navy or natural bag rather than chase it in the fabric.
What is the minimum order for blue printed bags?
25 pieces per design on selected products, with the per-piece price shown on each product page at every quantity tier, excluding VAT.

Common questions
What's the minimum order?
From 25 pieces per design on selected products — easy for small brands, shops and events, with no need to commit to huge quantities.
Can I print on both sides?
Yes. Double-sided printing is available on many bags — the same logo both sides or a different design front and back.
How long does production take?
Usually around 10–15 business days after artwork approval, depending on quantity and product. Tight deadline? Contact us first.
Is VAT included and can I get an invoice?
Prices are shown excluding VAT; VAT is handled at checkout based on your country and business status. Businesses receive an invoice.
Do you sell blank bags without print?
No — we only supply bags with your custom print. Every bag is produced to order with your design, so we do not stock or sell unprinted blanks. If you need blank bags, a promotional-textile wholesaler is the better fit.
Do you offer blind shipping?
Yes — we can ship blind at no extra cost. Your order arrives in neutral packaging with no Prints & Bags branding, and no invoice or pricing documents are included in the parcel. Just tell us when you place the order and we will handle it.
What shades of blue tote bag can I order?
French navy, midnight, royal and bright royal, sapphire, indigo, airforce, petrol, dusty blue, cornflower, mid blue, light blue, sky, surf, pastel blue, turquoise and a blue mélange, depending on the bag line. Blue is our widest colour range.
Can I print a white logo on a navy bag?
Yes, and it is the sharpest-looking combination in the range. Navy is a dark fabric, so white ink is printed over a white underbase to stay fully opaque. That is included in the print price shown on the product page.
What is the minimum order for blue printed tote bags?
25 pieces per design on selected products. The per-piece price at each quantity tier is shown on the product page excluding VAT, and free EU delivery is included.
Which blue bag is best for corporate or conference use?
French navy in 220 g/m² or heavier. It reads as professional rather than promotional, carries a white or single-colour logo cleanly, and hides handling marks — which matters when bags are packed, transported and reused at an event.

Navy does the work of a neutral. For corporate and institutional buyers, navy is usually the right default: it looks deliberate rather than promotional, it photographs well, it carries a white logo cleanly, and it survives being handled, packed and reused without looking tired. That is why it is the most-ordered colour in this family and available in more weights than any other shade.
Bright blue is a different brief. Royal and sapphire are for when the bag should look energetic — sports, student events, campaigns, activations. Light blues — sky, surf, pastel, turquoise — belong to summer, coastal and wellness settings where a navy would feel too formal.
Weight matters as much as shade. A 140 g/m² navy tote and a 475 g/m² navy canvas bag are the same colour and completely different products. The lighter cotton is a cost-effective event bag; the heavy canvas is something a customer keeps and uses for years. Both are on this page, so compare the price per piece rather than assuming the colour is the decision.
